One of the best things about Australia is definitely the natural landscape and beauty of the country. One of the best ways to see this is to take a driving holiday, and renting a car now couldn’t be easier.

First up you need to organize renting your car. You’ll find that car rentals are the cheapest online when booked in advance with a credit card. Some cards will give you rewards for spending such as American Express. If you are travelling longer than a month, it is strongly advised that you buy a car, as it will probably work out much cheaper on the whole. Most Australian tourist sites or information sites have all the info you need about car hire companies if you are travelling for less than a month.

Once you have your car and have started your exciting journey, you need to think about which roads to take. You won’t be able to take everything in within one trip, so here we are advising two of the main roads to see the best of Australia.

The first major road to take on a holiday in Australia is the Eyre highway. This is one of the largest roads in the country, and the best if you want to take in most of the major cities. The road runs through cities including Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, which are arguably the 3 most interesting cities in the country.

The other major road that can be amazing for the best scenic views is Waterfall Way. This is a road that passes through most of South Wales incredible countryside and boasts over seven national parks, three of which are classed as world heritage areas.

Another little tip away from the road is to make sure on your journey you try and stop off at one of Australia’s incredible ocean side cities or towns and taste some of the incredible seafood that the country has to offer.
