Are you visiting the United States of America soon? Yes, I am and I am already trying to search all the infos and requirements in visiting this vast country. Being a European citizen and being included in the Visa Waiver Program, I no longer need a visa to enter into the US. I am only require to apply for a so-called ESTA or an electronic system for travel authorization.
Here are some of the information I got online.
“All passport holders from the United Kingdom, Andorra, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland traveling to the United States will be required to have an electronic system for travel authorization (ESTA) issued for their trip into the U.S.
ESTA replaces the former paper visa forms issued while in-flight. To apply for the ESTA, please visit the ESTA Web site at least 72 hours prior to your trip. ESTA authorization will be valid for two years from the issue date. Please note that as of September 8, 2010, all Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) registration applications or renewals on or after that date require a $14.00 fee payment by credit or debit card. Existing ESTA registrations remain valid through their expiration date.
