Getting Bigger Everyday

I was browsing some old photos from Las Vegas last weekend and I found out that I was still smaller the last time I visited the so-called "sin city" in 2008. I just can't hinder becoming bigger everyday since the time I was there. Now I am decided to really take away the excess pounds I gained from too much eating. I want to take something to lose weight but after knowing the side effects of diet pills, I guess I am opting not to take some anymore. There are still a lot of ways to get rid of excess weight. Some of it is avoid eating a lot and have proper exercise. Any more suggestions out there? Wish me luck to be slimmer and avoid getting bigger everyday.

Visit to the Nursing Home in Las Vegas

I admire people who are working in Nursing Homes. During my vacation to the United States four years ago, I had the chance to visit one of the nursing homes in Las Vegas where my sister was working. There, you can see patients who are undergoing medical treatments of all kinds. I can see some patients sitting on medline wheelchairs due to their inability to walk. Thanks to the help of this modern equipments which make life easier and more convenient. My sister is now working in one of the hospitals in Las Vegas and I admired her for having that kind of work taking care of the sick people. Make the best sister and God bless you always.

Congratulations!

Goodbye March! Hello April! We are finally on the second quarter of 2012. Are you fooled today? Don't you know that today is April's Fool's Day? I just smile when some of my friends in facebook sent me foolish messages today. It is All Fool's day anyway and I don't mind those foolish messages.

Anyway, I would only like to extend my best wishes and congratulations to some nieces, nephews and my friends' children who had their graduations in elementary, in high schools and in colleges lately. Some received medals, trophies and awards and I very sure that their parents and families were so proud about their achievements. To all of you, keep up the good jobs and good luck to all your future plans and undertakings. Once again congratulations!

Just A Short Update

Spring is almost coming! The weather is getting better today. I heard over the radio that we had around 18 degrees Celsius temperature today. I did not even wear a thick winter jacket when I went outside. I just found out that my car was not in our garage this morning. Someone's car did not started today. He said that he used my car because his car's battery were exhausted. No wonder he let the blinker and the light on overnight, the reason why the battery got empty. I ended up staying at home the whole day doing household chores. I should go grocery shopping today but I can't afford to walk 30 kilometers back and forth with all those grocery items. I should also go to a hardware to ask about ball joint. I might go for a grocery shopping tomorrow afternoon after our escapade in the morning.

I guess that is all for now. I wish everyone a wonderful month of March. Take care folks!

Waiting For Visa to the U.S.

I had a short conversation with my sister from Las Vegas this week. I am also happy to hear from her last time that she finally passed the NCLEX exam. Unlike with our youngest sister who is still waiting for her visa to enter the United States, she is now a U.S. nurse after passing the NCLEX exam last 2009 in Manila, Philippines. Since both of my sisters are license nurses now, I expect that they have some ideas about hospital computer carts at Howard-Medical.com. My sister from Las Vegas also told me that probably our youngest sister will obtain her visa either in the month of June or July. We keep on praying for that. I am happy for all the achievements of my sisters. I hope and pray that they will always be guided and be blessed to the right path. I always wish them all the best in life. Good luck to you all my dear sisters. I hope to see you soon this year.

Just A Travel Story

It is not easy travelling with little children especially if you are alone. It can be stressful and full of worries sometimes. I remember someone who keep on telling us before that she cannot take a vacation back home because her reason was that her daughter was still a baby. I also have another friend who went home for a vacation twice already despite having a baby boy of some months old. Thanks to the help of stroller travel systems, her travel was always easy and convenient.

Back to the story of the first mother I mentioned above. I heard from some acquaintances that she was telling the same story some years ago. Now that her daughter is already almost 8 years old, I believed she can already have a nice travel with that age. Someone mentioned to me that she cannot go home because of some financial consideration, not the reason about her daughter's age.

The lesson is, sometimes we just need to be straight and be honest. And if possible avoid pretending that we have when we don't have it, just to impress and make other people believe that we have. In short, just avoid pretending. Peace!

Starting my New Year's Resolution

It was quite a long day for me today after doing some errands and a bit shopping. 2011 is almost ending and I need to plan and to make good New Year's resolution for 2012. I have a lot and I want to prioritize which is which. It made me smile when I read some crazy new year's resolution in my other blog, Simply The Best. It was written long time ago and I found visitors from all over the world browsing for it.

First on the list, I need to get rid of my excess pounds because I already miss wearing my old nice clothes. I even haven't tried wearing some new ones at all. If somebody out there knows what weight loss pills that work good, I would appreciate any information about it. I am glad that after our Spain trip last week, I already started dieting. I just need to program it that my body won't get surprise with the changes that I am making. I mean changing my eating habit. I am already sure of this resolution and if I have the will and the right action, I believed I can do it.

Another on my list is hoping to have more travels and trips next year. This year is a superb year because I truly visited a lot of places and countries. Above all, I just want a healthy life for me, my family and friends. And yes more peace, love and happiness!

Have a wonderful and memorable celebration of Christmas!

Visit to An Electronic Shop in Vegas

Most women might like expensive bags, branded shoes or clothes. I am the same but I like electronics and gadgets more than these stuffs. Before I am buying a certain gadget, I am also thinking whether I really need it. During my vacation in Vegas, we visited one of the biggest electronic stores there. I was looking for camera batteries that time. I ended up also looking one of the best netbooks they have at the shop. I was thinking of buying one but since mine was still working that time, I just ignore it. Besides it is not really a need. Sometimes we need to know what is really a want or a need when shopping. Priorities and needs first before wants especially at these very difficult times of economic crisis.

Experience in Luxor, Las Vegas

I never forgot this experience I had in Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. When you see the second image below, you will have an idea about it. I just want to descent to the 1000 foot, level 10 in Luxor. It seems that you are inside an elevator and it bring you down. While descending, the machine keeps on sharing. Ther were only three of me. As we where already down under, it was so dark...somebody announce to the speaker that if someone cannot bear it, just raise you hand. It seems that there was earthquake that time with different lights flashings and I can't really handle it. I feel so dizzy and feel like throwing..I immediately raised my hands, signaling to stop it. I ran immediately to the cr and after that, you know what i mean...i felt better....I will never do that again. It was quite adventurous and exciting but I can't handle it.

the small Sphinx inside the lobby of Luxor..I was there!

Designed by hotel architect Veldon Simpson and interior designer Charles Silverman, the Luxor has received recognition as being among the most recognizable hotels on the strip because of its unique design. The main portion of the hotel is a 365-foot (111 m)-high, 30-story pyramid encased in 11 acres of dark bronze glass. The guest rooms are situated on the outer walls of the pyramid and are reached by riding in "inclinators" that travel along the inner surface of the pyramid at a 39-degree angle. The hotel also features a 29 million cubic feet (820,000 m³) atrium, which was the largest open atrium in the world when it was built in 1993. The hotel is marked by a 140-foot (43 m)-high obelisk and a 110-foot (34 m)-tall re-creation of the Great Sphinx of Giza. wikipedia.

Sis in Vegas

It has been more than three years now since I visited Las Vegas. I should be there during sis wedding ceremony but I was not given a visa. At the same year, I immediately applied for a European citizenship. When I was granted, I flew to the United States last May 2008.

As far as I can still remember, sis got one of those diamond rings from her hubby during their engagement period. I was happy for her. Now she is happily living in Vegas and hope to visit her again next time..maybe next year? I miss this city! I also would like to visit other states in the US in my future visit.

9/11 Remembered

Ten years had passed since 9/11 in New York, USA.

Let's pose for a moment to remember
And to offer a moment of silence and prayers
to the victims and their families
of the said tragedy.

Lord may this day will remind us
that we are not perfect.
May the anger and hatred in our hearts
be replaced with love and understanding
so that this world will be a better
and peaceful place to live-in.

God always bless humanity.
God bless America.
God bless the whole world and the universe.
God bless us all!

Peace to all mankind!

Ruby Benz

Remembering the victims of 9/11.
May All Their Souls Rest in Peace!
in Jesus Name,
Amen!

Don't Judge

Don't judge because we never know. This is in relation to my previous post about a homeless guy who inherited quite a big sum of money. There are a lot of beggars and homeless out there. We never know their story. Some might be due to bad luck in life and some might be due to vices like gambling and alcohol, the reason why they lost their fortunes and properties. They can no longer undergo alcohol detox due to lack of money or even no money at all. Some are lucky to have back their normal lives and some are not. I am just happy to read the news about this homeless guy. At least his life is back to normal now and he can already have all the basic things he need like food, shelter and clothing. We never know whom we meet along the way.....so don't judge at all.

German-American Volksfest 2011 is Over

The German-American Volksfest in Hohenfels, Bavaria, Germany will be ending in some minutes now. I believed that the five-day festival was another success. This is also the first time that I had a complete attendance in that celebration. I was there five days in a row with friends.

There are a lot of things that I love there. First and foremost are the different delicacies that you can taste and eat there. For sure, I need to look at lipozene reviews in couple of days because I was eating too much during the festival. I tasted different kinds of food from Asian to Greek, Hungarian, German, French and American delicacies. Another thing I love was listening to the music and live band in the beer tent. Carnival rides are not really for me because I feel dizzy with it. Sad to day, they don't have a Ferris wheel this year. That is the only ride that I love.

The fun and enjoyment we had during that five-day festival is priceless. Hopefully, next year again.

Going to Preschool

Time truly flies so fast nowadays. I can't imagine that we are already in the last week of April. I believed, I am having a wonderful time this month especially after spending a short trip last week in Monaco and some parts of France and Italy.

Back to the main topic. I remembered a friend who asked me last time about preschool in our place. There is a kindergarten nearby and she wanted to send her child to this place. She is also happy to see the preschool playground equipment when we went there. We also asked for some information like the school hours of the children, the snacks or lunch if ever she wants to leave her child for the whole day. She said that it is not to expensive compared to the CDC or Child Development Center inside the U.S. Base nearby. She is quite happy after knowing all the requirements for that preschool institution.

Working At an American Company

It is almost five years now since I am jobless. Ever since then, I learned and experienced a lot from life. For some, being jobless would mean the end of life and living but for me, it seems different. The last employer I worked with was an American retail company. I worked as a retail supervisor. I remember the name tags I had from this company. In fact, I kept two or three of it as remembrance. I am quite contented being jobless now but if given the chance to work again, I will gladly take it. Having the freedom to travel anywhere and anytime because of being jobless is quite a good thing. Of course, you need to save money for it. Thanks to some online opportunities where we are given a chance to earn a bit money. Well, that is better than nothing. Right folks?

Somebody from the U.S. Needs A Diet

This is life! You can wake-up whenever you want. You can work whatever time you want in a day. You can go anywhere and anytime when you have money. Just kidding folks! I am just happy today and I am very thankful for all the blessings I received from Above.

I was browsing awhile ago some pictures of my sister who is currently enjoying her vacation in our home country, Philippines. I envy them because they went to Boracay Island, a very nice fine beach in the western region in Visayas, Philippines. I also noticed that she gained more pounds now. I am not sure if she is familiar with Lipofuze which said to help reduce or loss weight. I am just happy for my sister that she finally had a break from work and spending now some days vacation in our home country. Enjoy to the max sistah. I hope to see you again in Las Vegas!

I miss this sunset from our terrace in Cebu, Philippines. Isn't it beautiful!

Sis Job in Vegas

I admire people who are working in medical and health fields. I was trying for some years now to study any course in this field but it is not really my line. Hospital is the place where I never want to go when I can, unless needed. I admire my three sisters who are currently embracing this field. My other sister works as a nurse in Las Vegas. I once visited the nursing home she work with. I guess I am brave enough in other things but I can't bear seeing people who are suffering from any sickness or difficulties. I saw one patient with arthritis knee brace and I find it hard for her suffering such sickness. We can be very thankful if we are always healthy and don't suffer any sickness or disorder.

I am also happy for my three sisters who embraced the medical and health fields. Congratulations and keep up the good work!

Diet Plan

Another TGIF is here! I am quite tired right now after having a sleepless night last night. Sometimes there are just things that are bothering us but it is up to us to handle and decide it. Sometimes it happen and as long as we are happy with our decision and we don't step-in to others shoes, then probably we can go for it.

Anyway, I guess you just read my post title here. Am I really serious? I believed, yes! Since two days now, I had been trying to control my appetite. I only ate vegetable salad during the night. During lunch time, I only eat half the plate that I use to consume. I believed this is a good way of dieting. You are not escaping food but only eat a little. There are these so-called all natural diet pills but I haven't tried any yet. First, I want to really try my best now to get back that figure I had ten years ago. With proper discipline and control, I believed I can do it. See this image here? That was me 10 years ago! Good luck to me and my diet plan!

Jollibee in Las Vegas

I believed most and maybe all of my friends in FB are very familiar with Jollibee, a food chain restaurant from the Philippines. It is also a sister company of Chowking. If you happen to visit Las Vegas, Nevada, you can find Jollibee and Chowking in Seafood City. You might need creatine products if you always eat foods from these chain restaurants. Of course, I did ordered some Jollibee foods because there is such thing as this in Europe... I mean Jollibee food chains. I am thinking of buying a franchise from Jollibee Foods Corporations to start one in Europe. I am dreaming again! Who knows one of these days? Time to prepare for dinner. More updates in my other sites. See you later guys!
