It's been three years now since we made a trip to Universal Studios in California. I can't forget that because I had a very bad migraine that time. I guess it was because of too much heat in that area. I remember my sister who told me to eat a lot of ice. My migraine got better.

I was there! It is more than three years now since I visited this interesting park in Universal Studios Hollywood, California. The Jurassic Park experience I had especially the Ride was very amusing. It is a water-based amusement ride and I did truly had fun that time.

The ride starts with a raft entering the gates of "Jurassic Park". We encountered many dinosaurs such as Stegosaurus and Ultrasaurus. I feel like I was also in the Jurassic Film while doing that ride. awesome experience!

It is almost three years now since I visited Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. Time truly passes-by so fast. Special thanks to my sister and cousin for touring me here. I truly had a great time. Visiting this place was one of the most memorable travels I had. Just sharing some of the images I took during our visit last June 2008.




EARLY YEARS OF UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

Universal was founded by Carl Laemmle, a German-Jewish immigrant from Laupheim who settled in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where he managed a clothing store. On a buying trip in 1905 to Chicago, he was struck by the popularity of nickelodeons. One story has Laemmle watching a box office for hours, counting patrons and calculating the day's take. Within weeks of his Chicago trip, Laemmle gave up dry goods to buy the first of several nickelodeons. For Laemmle and other such entrepreneurs, the creation in 1908 of the Edison-backed Motion Picture Trust meant that exhibitors were expected to pay fees for Trust-produced films they showed. Based on Edison's patent for the electric motor used in cameras and projectors, along with other patents, the Trust collected fees on all aspects of movie production and exhibition, and attempted to enforce a monopoly on distribution. It was believed that the productions were meant to be used for another company but the firm turned Universal down. more here

I am bringing again memories during our visit in Disneyland. I guess my favorite themed park in Disney's California Adventure Park is Paradise Pier. Some people might not like it but I found it very interesting here. This is not actually a pier despite its name and the presence of a man-made lake near here but merely a waterside area of the park. You can see the California Screamin', a roller coaster that sprawls around the area of the various attractions here. During our visit in June 6, 2008, the Toy Story Midway Mania was still not opened. It officially opened two weeks after our visit. I also read online that since 2008 until 2012 there are facelifts that are going on in California Adventure Park and Paradise Pier will be re-themed as a Victorian style pier.

A new area called Paradise Park has almost been completed. The walking area is available to guests, but the boardwalk area is still getting cleaned up. It features a viewing area for World of Color and has a water play area in the open part that's not turned on yet. A new Paradise Pier sign has recently been added to the California Screamin' ride above the loop where the former Mickey ears were in early March 2009. A sunburst is being painted onto the center circle where the Former Mickey mouse shape once was and it was completed in April 2009.

I really don't have a lot of words to say now about Disneyland. I believed most of you have known already what can be seen in this place. I am only sharing a picture below taken during my 2008 visit in this beautiful place. I also want to greet everyone a great start of the month of June. It was a dream true Walking at The Red Carpet in Universal Studio in Los Angeles, California. I finally experienced seeing one of the famous cities in the world called the "City of Angels". I could not believed that. Thanks to my dear family and relatives for the great tour during my two months vacation in the US. I am sharing a picture as evidence of my travel..wink! How I miss this place! Disneyland is simply the place to have fun and entertain ourselves. It was a year now that I visited Disneyland in California. I can forget the memories that I had there with my sister, a friend and my cousin and her family. I miss you all guys! How can you forget a very unforgettable and enjoyable moment in one of the world's most famous entertainment place, the Disneyland in California. What are left from me with all that experience in Disneyland are pictures and memories that I can always keep for the rest of my life. It was an amazing experience!
