Studio Tour in Universal Studios Hollywood, Los Angeles

It was a nice tour we had in Universal Studios. It is actually called a Studio Tour or The Backlot Tour, an attraction at the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park in the USA.

Flash flood attraction on The Studio Tour

the tram where we rode during the tour last June 2008.

The Tour is the signature attraction at the park, and goes into a working movie studio. Guests sit in a multi-car tram for the duration of the ride. The Tour lasts about 45 minutes and is led by a live tour guide who can be seen throughout the tram on video screens. It travels through the Front Lot, Backlot and various attractions, passing sets and props from movies along the way.

From 1915 when visitors sat on bleachers for 25 cents, to the 1964 introduction of pink and white GlamorTrams, to the current technological sophistication, the behind-the-scenes view of a working movie studio has been a large attraction. During the early years of the tram tour (1964–1965) all of the attractions at Universal were reached via the tram. The tour originally departed from the front lot comissary. In 1965, the upper lot studio tour center opened.

In 1991, the tram boarding was moved to the lower lot following the construction of the Starway escalator system. In 1996, boarding moved back to the upper lot to make room for Jurassic Park: The Ride.

As the movie studio continues to evolve, the tour evolves alongside it. In late 1989, CD players finally gave the tour guides a chance to rest their voices. In 2000, the CD players were replaced by DVD players and LCD screens, allowing the tour guides to show scenes from movies filmed at the locations the tram passes.

Since 2006, the studio tours bypassed the Collapsing Bridge, due to aging and wearing. However, the bridge has since undergone renovations, and was added back to the tour schedules in August 2008. Since July 2010, the Collapsing Bridge is now used as a representation of the Skull Island city for the new King Kong: 360 3-D attraction. wikipedia.

Visit to Universal Studios Hollywood, Los Angeles, California

It is almost three years now since I visited Universal Studios Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. Time truly passes-by so fast. Special thanks to my sister and cousin for touring me here. I truly had a great time. Visiting this place was one of the most memorable travels I had. Just sharing some of the images I took during our visit last June 2008.

at the very entrance of the Studio.

I can't imagine how many people are coming everyday inside the Universal Studios just to have fun and simply enjoy!

EARLY YEARS OF UNIVERSAL STUDIOS

Universal was founded by Carl Laemmle, a German-Jewish immigrant from Laupheim who settled in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, where he managed a clothing store. On a buying trip in 1905 to Chicago, he was struck by the popularity of nickelodeons. One story has Laemmle watching a box office for hours, counting patrons and calculating the day's take. Within weeks of his Chicago trip, Laemmle gave up dry goods to buy the first of several nickelodeons. For Laemmle and other such entrepreneurs, the creation in 1908 of the Edison-backed Motion Picture Trust meant that exhibitors were expected to pay fees for Trust-produced films they showed. Based on Edison's patent for the electric motor used in cameras and projectors, along with other patents, the Trust collected fees on all aspects of movie production and exhibition, and attempted to enforce a monopoly on distribution. It was believed that the productions were meant to be used for another company but the firm turned Universal down. more here

I got here more pictures from Universal Studios Hollywood. During our visit to the entertainment capital of Los Angeles, California, we also had a tour in the different studios here. We were able to visit the different settings of the movies like Shark, Sex and the City, The Fast and The Furious and a lot more. I already forgot where exactly I took this picture above. I still have a clear eyes, those are not stainless steel drums but plastic ones. The car you see in the image below was moving so fast as we were toured here. I can't stop smiling as I saw it turning and twirling. It is a model used in the Fast and the Furious movie. That was a very interesting tour we had last June 2008 because our tour guide is very good.

Meeting Frankenstein at Hollywood, Universal Studio, California

I just remember a story of what had happened during our escapade at Hollywood, Universal Studio in Los Angeles, California last year. Frankenstein was just standing still. He never move. Later on, a girl stand in his side eating ice cream. Frankenstein go nearer to the girl and the girl was so scared as he see him moved. She dropped her ice cream and ran-away. That was the time that I stroked a pose to my new friend in Hollywood. wink! Isn't he scary? I guess not.

On more thing, I guess my old computer that I am using right now is having system memory problem. Around 80 percent of its memory is used. I need to transfer thousands of pictures to my hard disk drive and delete them afterwards. I love using this old pc of mine instead of my new netbook.

Allsup is a leading nationwide provider of financial and healthcare related services to people with disabilities. Since 1984, Allsup has helped more than 110,000 people receive their entitled Social Security Disability Insurance and Medicare benefits." This sonuds very intresting! Special thanks to my dearest sister and cousin Ann during my stay in the United States. It was truly a great experience! I hope to be backed soon! in God's will!
Los Angeles is the largest city in the state of California and the second largest in the United States. Often abbreviated as L.A. and nicknamed The City of Angels, Los Angeles has an estimated population of 3.8 million and spans over 498.3 square miles (1,290.6 km2) in Southern California. Additionally, the Los Angeles metropolitan area is home to nearly 12.9 million residents. Los Angeles is the seat of Los Angeles County, the most populated and one of the most diverse counties[4] in the United States. Its inhabitants are known as "Angelenos" .

Los Angeles was founded September 4, 1781, by Spanish governor Felipe de Neve as El Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Angeles del Río de Porciúncula (The Village of Our Lady, the Queen of the Angels of the river of Porziuncola). It became a part of Mexico in 1821, following its independence from Spain. In 1848, at the end of the Mexican-American War, Los Angeles and California were purchased as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, thereby becoming part of the United States; Mexico retained the territory of Baja California. Los Angeles was incorporated as a municipality on April 4, 1850, five months before California achieved statehood.

Los Angeles is one of the world's centers of business, international trade, entertainment, culture, media, fashion, science, technology, and education. It is home to renowned institutions covering a broad range of professional and cultural fields, and is one of the most substantial economic engines within the United States. As the home base of Hollywood, it is known as the "Entertainment Capital of the World", leading the world in the creation of motion pictures, television production and recorded music. The importance of the entertainment business to the city has led many celebrities to call Los Angeles and its surrounding suburbs home. source wikipedia

A Visit To Hollywood in Los Angeles, California

I really don't expect that I can visit Hollywood in Los Angeles, California. Special thanks to my sister and her hubby for the great vacation in the US last year. We also had a tour in Universal Studio where the famous films are being shoot.

It was an amazing experience seeing the so-called city of the stars and the famous. We also did a lot of walking especially in Universal Studios where we enjoyed seeing some shows. Don't you know that the founder of the Universal is a German Jewish guy. His name is Carl Laemmle, from Laupheim who settled in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. I guess you better surf the net about him for more stories about Universal Studios. Anyway, if I can probably go walking everyday in Hollywood I might loss some kilos or else I need to find a liporexall reviews to know if it is really effective.
