Watching The Fireworks in Disneyland, Anaheim, California

I am going back again to my travel memoirs during my first vacation to the United States. One of the most memorable trips we did was our visit to Disneyland in Anaheim, California. I would say, the highlight in Disneyland was the fireworks held in River of America. It is actually a nighttime fireworks. If I am not mistaken, the show was entitled "Remember... Dreams Come True". It was truly a dream come true for me when I visited Disneyland. I did not expect to visit it once in my life. Thanks to the donors and sponsors...Just kidding folks!

I truly had a lot of wonderful moments during my vacation in the United States especially in Disneyland. Thanks God for the chance to be there! Thank you for always returning me back home safely and in good condition!

The boat where we boarded for a cruise in River of America in Disneyland. In this river was where the fireworks also took place. I was there last June 2008.

Remember... Dreams Come True is a fireworks display commemorating Disneyland's 50th anniversary. Described as an "E ticket in the sky," the show features fireworks, lower level pyrotechnics, isopar flame effects, projections and lasers set to the soundtracks of some of Disneyland's most famous rides and shows. It was created as an homage to Disneyland, its lands and attractions, and its continuing legacy. wikipedia.

Was in Disney's California Adventure

It was a wonderful time! It was truly a fun and memorable moment. Our visit to Disneyland in Anaheim, California was truly worth it. I felt like going back to my childhood days when I was there.

One of the interesting parks you can visit in Disneyland CA is Disney's California Adventure. It opened on February 8, 2001 as Disney's California Adventure Park but the word Park was removed on May 28, 2010.

The Sun monument in Disney's California Adventure. I was there!

DEDICATION:

“ To all who believe in the power of dreams, welcome. Disney's California Adventure opens its golden gates to you. Here we pay tribute to the dreamers of the past: the native people, explorers, immigrants, aviators, entrepreneurs and entertainers who built the Golden State. And we salute a new generation of dreamers who are creating the wonders of tomorrow, from the silver screen to the computer screen, from the fertile farmlands to the far reaches of space. Disney's California Adventure celebrates the richness and the diversity of California... its land, its people, its spirit and, above all, the dreams that it continues to inspire. ”

Shows in Las Vegas

Being the "Entertainment Capital of the World", there are a lot of shows and entertainment of all sorts that you can see and experience in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is one thing I love in this city. I love especially watching almost every night the live band in Ballys hotel where my cousin was the lead singer. I am trying to remember if their band use paiste cymbals. Their group was great and I was always entertained everytime I watch it.

Other famous shows in Las Vegas also include the Jubilee, the Phantom, Celine Dion in Colosseum, the Peepshow, Disney on Ice and many other concerts and musical shows. Las Vegas is truly one of the best place to entertain yourselves!

Monty Python's Spamalot at Wynn Las Vegas

I miss watching this show when I was in Las Vegas. Monty Python's Spamalot was formerly showed at Wynn Las Vegas. Monty Python's Spamalot is a musical comedy "lovingly ripped off from" the 1974 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail. This show has closed but I am glad that I was able to take a picture of it in Wynn Hotel, a luxury hotel and resort in Las Vegas Strip, Paradise, Nevada.

Monty Python's Spamalot had its last performance on July 18 2008. It was exactly 14 days when I left Las Vegas going back to Europe.

Visit to Disneyland in Anaheim, California

It seems just yesterday when I visited Disneyland in Anaheim, California. Together with my sister and relatives, we drove from Las Vegas to this place just to experience it. It was my first time to visit this park and I was overwhelmed by the things I saw and experienced in this entertainment world. I felt like going back to my childhood days seeing the different "Lands of Disneyland". We visited some attractions in this resort including Main Street, U.S.A., Critter Country, Frontierland, New Orleans Square, Adventureland and many more. It was so far one of the highlights I experienced when I visited United States for two months last 2008. I truly had a great time!

Studio Tour in Universal Studios Hollywood, Los Angeles

It was a nice tour we had in Universal Studios. It is actually called a Studio Tour or The Backlot Tour, an attraction at the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park in the USA.

Flash flood attraction on The Studio Tour

the tram where we rode during the tour last June 2008.

The Tour is the signature attraction at the park, and goes into a working movie studio. Guests sit in a multi-car tram for the duration of the ride. The Tour lasts about 45 minutes and is led by a live tour guide who can be seen throughout the tram on video screens. It travels through the Front Lot, Backlot and various attractions, passing sets and props from movies along the way.

From 1915 when visitors sat on bleachers for 25 cents, to the 1964 introduction of pink and white GlamorTrams, to the current technological sophistication, the behind-the-scenes view of a working movie studio has been a large attraction. During the early years of the tram tour (1964–1965) all of the attractions at Universal were reached via the tram. The tour originally departed from the front lot comissary. In 1965, the upper lot studio tour center opened.

In 1991, the tram boarding was moved to the lower lot following the construction of the Starway escalator system. In 1996, boarding moved back to the upper lot to make room for Jurassic Park: The Ride.

As the movie studio continues to evolve, the tour evolves alongside it. In late 1989, CD players finally gave the tour guides a chance to rest their voices. In 2000, the CD players were replaced by DVD players and LCD screens, allowing the tour guides to show scenes from movies filmed at the locations the tram passes.

Since 2006, the studio tours bypassed the Collapsing Bridge, due to aging and wearing. However, the bridge has since undergone renovations, and was added back to the tour schedules in August 2008. Since July 2010, the Collapsing Bridge is now used as a representation of the Skull Island city for the new King Kong: 360 3-D attraction. wikipedia.

George Wallace in Flamingo, Las Vegas

This image was taken during my visit in Las Vegas 2008. George Wallace is an American actor comedian who performed last 2008 Flamingo Hotel. I am not quite sure if he is still performing in Flamingo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. I miss to watch his show when I was in Vegas.

George Wallace was born on July 21, 1952 in Atlanta, Georgia. Wallace has had supporting roles in a number of movies, including the Coen Brothers film, The Ladykillers (as Sheriff Wyner). Wallace also appeared in Batman Forever as the Mayor of Gotham City.

Trip to Universal Studio in California

It's been three years now since we made a trip to Universal Studios in California. I can't forget that because I had a very bad migraine that time. I guess it was because of too much heat in that area. I remember my sister who told me to eat a lot of ice. My migraine got better.

I guess you know who this people are?? taken last June 2008. I miss this place!

Jurrasic Park in Universal Studios Hollywood California

I was there! It is more than three years now since I visited this interesting park in Universal Studios Hollywood, California. The Jurassic Park experience I had especially the Ride was very amusing. It is a water-based amusement ride and I did truly had fun that time.

The ride starts with a raft entering the gates of "Jurassic Park". We encountered many dinosaurs such as Stegosaurus and Ultrasaurus. I feel like I was also in the Jurassic Film while doing that ride. awesome experience!

German-American Volksfest 2011 is Over

The German-American Volksfest in Hohenfels, Bavaria, Germany will be ending in some minutes now. I believed that the five-day festival was another success. This is also the first time that I had a complete attendance in that celebration. I was there five days in a row with friends.

There are a lot of things that I love there. First and foremost are the different delicacies that you can taste and eat there. For sure, I need to look at lipozene reviews in couple of days because I was eating too much during the festival. I tasted different kinds of food from Asian to Greek, Hungarian, German, French and American delicacies. Another thing I love was listening to the music and live band in the beer tent. Carnival rides are not really for me because I feel dizzy with it. Sad to day, they don't have a Ferris wheel this year. That is the only ride that I love.

The fun and enjoyment we had during that five-day festival is priceless. Hopefully, next year again.

The Cleopatra Barge in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas

I did not really hang-out in Cleopatra Barge in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. I used to pass this area when I go inside Caesars Palace. Some people said that it is cheesy place to enjoy, have fun, dance, drink, or simply watching others. Some people simply love this place!

The first thing you notice is the bow of the ship as you walk by it inside the casino. Then you realize that this place is actually a bar on water inside a casino. They have a DJ and a band playing music here. Music from the 80's or even five decades are also being played here.

Cleopatra Barge had also some facelift a few years ago and this classic lounge is newer, hotter and hipper. You can dance the night away, laugh and yes, people will be watching you.

Sad to say that I never spend a night listening to their band in Cleopatra Barge. What I only have was this image that I took when I passed-by. Sorry, it is not nicely taken.

the Cleopatra Barge in Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. I was there last 2008.

A club venue that displays Cleopatra in a bosom-baring golden glory, as she is on the ship's bow. Photo opportunity here. Nice Egyptian style atmosphere. No cover. Servers are attentive and quite conversationalists. Music is club-like and sounds loud in such a small club. It can be heard down the hall. Club patrons can go dancing on her barge as it floats on water. The barge's oars move. Entry to the barge is by a short bridge which connects to the barge's dancefloor. It's like walking the plank like Wendy (that character from "Peter Pan") without pirates urging me on. And so, dancing on the barge presents a very up-close proximity with the rest of the patrons on the dancefloor. A cramped dancefloor. It's seems everyone wants to be on the barge. It's fun, an awesome experience. It's a-rockin' to and fro as the barge moves to everyone's dance rhythms. A scary thought: someone may topple overboard. Someone who may be a little light-headed from cocktail drink may lose balance or may be prone to 'seasickness' even though the barge is not on real big waves. That's when the fun is funny serious. "Man overboard!" ""No nay ne'er!" Let's just scamper for "Land-ho!" Cleopatra's barge is a thrill.

Fremont Street Experience and the Bikers' Show

What do you expect when you visit Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas, Nevada? Crowds of people! Glittering lights! Amazing visual and sound effects! Every minute of fun is in this part of Las Vegas! For sure, you will not only want a night of fun here but more nights and day of fun!

The Fremont Street Experience, FSE for short, is located in fabulous downtown Las Vegas. If you want to see and experience free live entertainment, you can have it here. There is always a party atmosphere here and great casinos are just around the corner.

The best part that amazed me was the bikers show. I don't know how it is exactly called but I witnessed it and it was truly a superb performance. If I am not mistaken, it was the so-called
"Bad to the Bone," which is a a wild motorcycle ride with the bad boys of rock.

The highlight in FSE is the biggest LED screen in the world that can be seen here. This place in Las Vegas is truly entertaining. Don't miss to see and experience FSE when you visit the so-called "Entertainment and Gaming Capital of the World".

that globe-like structure is where the "Bad to the Bone," is performed...truly a wild motorcycle show.

The Viva Vision canopy. The canopy towers 90 feet above the ground and spans the length of five football fields. Featuring more than 12 million LED modules and 555,000-watt sound system, the light show attracts tourists and locals alike.

Watching Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus in Las Vegas

Memories and photographs...these are the things that are always left to me after my travels and holidays. My Las Vegas vacation was a very memorable one not only because I had seen a lot in Vegas but most of all I had a great time with my sister and her hubby and also spending quality time with my relatives and new friends.

I am glad to see the performance of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus in Las Vegas. I am trying to remember now which hotel they performed last time.

with the lions...amazing how these animals were trained.

taken during my two months vacation in the U.S. and stayed most of the times in Las Vegas.
wish to go back there again in the future.

The Ringlings purchased the Barnum & Bailey Circus in 1907 and ran the circuses separately until 1919. By that time, Charles Edward Ringling and John Nicholas Ringling were the only remaining brothers of the five who founded the circus. They decided that it was too difficult to run the two circuses independently, and on March 29, 1919, "Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Combined Shows" debuted at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The posters declared, "The Ringling Bros. World's Greatest Shows and the Barnum & Bailey Greatest Show on Earth are now combined into one record giant of all exhibitions." Charles E. Ringling died in 1926, but the circus flourished through the Roaring 20s.In 1929 the American Circus Corporation signed a contract to perform in New York's Madison Square Garden. John Nicholas Ringling purchased American Circus for $1.7 million. That absorbed five major shows: Sells-Floto Circus, Al G. Barnes Circus, Sparks Circus, Hagenbeck-Wallace Circus, and John Robinson Circus. more here

Fireworks Show in Disneyland, California

I am not really very sure now if Disneyland from different parts of the globe like in Hongkong, Paris, Anaheim in California are performing fireworks shows everday. I am only very sure that during our visit in Disneyland in Anaheim, California in June 2008, we were able to witness a fireworks show.

Fireworks such as Fantasy in the Sky, Believe...There's Magic in the Stars, Magic- Music and Mayhem, Remember Dreams Come True are only some of the themed fireworks performed in Disneyland.

Off personal topic: I am very desperate to find Diet pills that work without exercise. Good thing to know, I guess I am starting a healthy diet now. I only ate vegetable salad this evening. I am wondering what will be the results if I have to do this everyday for a month or two. We will see!

Sleeping Beauty Castle of Disneyland

The Sleeping Beauty Castle is an iconic symbol of Disneyland. It is based on Neuschwanstein Castle of King Ludwig II, king of Bavaria, Germany. I am happy to see the Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland, Anaheim in California. I am happier as I saw for the third time the famous Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria. Both are amazing architectures but of course King Ludwig's castle is the best!

Disneyland's Sleeping Beauty Castle during our visit last June 2008.
