The Great Sphinx of Giza in Luxor Las Vegas

I haven't seen the original Sphinx in   Giza, Egypt but at  least I saw  its replica in Luxor Las Vegas, Nevada. This historical monument patterned from Egypt is very interesting. I thought I can only watch it in Television but I had  truly  seen it in person. Although it is only a replica but I am still happy to see it  from  my naked eyes. I know one day, I can visit the real one in Egypt. It is  included in my travel wishlist.

Luxor Las Vegas is located in on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It is a hotel and a casino. Its architecture was based in ancient Thebes, now the city of Luxor.

Great Sphinx of Giza and the Luxor Sky Beam, exterior view. I was there last 2008.

I had the pleasure to see this amazing monument and the  Luxor Sky Beam  which is the strongest beam of light in the world with 42.3 billion candlepower.

O'sheas Casino in Vegas

This is another property of Caesars Entertainment Corp. O'sheas is situated on the Las Vegas Strip in unincorporated Clark County, Nevada. I remembered walking in this part of Las Vegas Strip during my two months vacation in this city last 2008. I am not really a fan of gambling and playing casinos. It is enough for me to look around, observe and most of all take pictures of everything that catches my camera.

Here is a snapshot of O'sheas while I was gallivanting around Las Vegas strip. It was quite an adventure for me walking around alone and I love it.

I can't wait to visit Las Vegas again hopefully this year in summer. ..in God's will.

O'Shea's was briefly featured in the 1997 movie National Lampoon's Vegas Vacation where the character Rusty Griswold won a car through a slot machine sitting outside the casino.

The Obelisk Inside Luxor Las Vegas

Fabulous Las Vegas! There are a lot of things to experience in this famous city of Nevada in the United States. One of the things you can do is hotel-hopping. With the different themes and architecture of the hotels in Las Vegas, you will surely feel that you also visit other countries.

Taking for example a visit to Luxor Las Vegas. This pyramid-shaped hotel is named after the city of Luxor in Egypt. It is a hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It is considered to be the third largest hotel in the world and the second largest in Las Vegas after MGM Grand Las Vegas.

The photo you see below is the lobby interior of Luxor. You can see an obelisk inside located at the middle part of the hotel's lobby.

I had a great time during my two months holiday in Las Vegas almost four years ago. Time passed-by so fast nowadays. I feel like I was only there last year.

The first tower hotel that I have seen is Stratosphere Las Vegas. It is considered to be the tallest tower in Las Vegas and the 5th-tallest structure, in the United States. It is said to have a height of 1,149 ft (350 m). Sad to say, I was not able to go-up on top of it. Maybe in my next visit.

We just happened to pass-by Stratosphere and this is one of the snapshots I took. I hope to make a better picture in my next visit.

Imperial Palace in Las Vegas

This is one of the first snapshots I took in Las Vegas. After my sister and her husband picked me up at the airport, they drove me in Las Vegas Strips. I Love Bally's Las Vegas

This has been our hang-out most of the time. Bally's Las Vegas is a hotel in Las Vegas Strip. My cousin who is a lead singer of a band used to perform in this hotel. I am one her fans and I always loved watching her performance. At this moment, my cousin stopped performing already. I guess, she has this so-called whole life insurance because she seems to go for an early retirement. I once heard her saying that she was already tired performing. I was a bit sad about that news because she is really a good singer. I believed she is happy with her decision.

Here is an image of Ballys in its entrance to the casino. Its neon lighting wrapped around the covered moving sidewalk is one of the signature features of Bally's Las Vegas. It has also a huge shopping floor inside. I miss this place!

The Trojan Horse Inside Caesars Palace Las Vegas

So, what's this Trojan Horse exactly doing inside Caesars palace? I thought Ceasars Palace is featuring Rome not Turkey or what? Anyway, it's really none of my business. What is important for me, I was in Vegas and had the chance to see and to experience this so-called "entertainment capital of the world". I love Vegas!

The Waterfall Inside The Venetian Las Vegas

The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, simply known as the Venetian Las Vegas is a luxury hotel in Las Vegas Strip, Paradise, Nevada, United States. This is the first hotel where I stepped on during my first night in Las Vegas. My sister and her hubby brought me here to take my first dinner in Vegas. The tiresome long hours of flight was gone when I see this place especially that waterfall inside the hotel.

This hotel features a life-like replica tower of St Mark's Campanile in Venice, Italy.

The Great Sphinx of Giza is also the biggest and the most popular one. I am very happy that once in my life, I had seen some sphinx statues in Luxor Las Vegas.

The sphinx you see below is the one that you can see at the of Luxor, a famous and luxury hotel in Las Vegas. This hotel has a very unique design, the reason why it received recognition as being among the most recognizable hotels on the strip. It was designed by hotel architect Veldon Simpson and interior designer Charles Silverman. The hotel is named after the city of Luxor in Egypt.

The Montgolfier like Balloon in Paris, Las Vegas

If you are in Las Vegas Strip, I am quite sure you had already seen this sign in a shape of Montgolfier balloon in Paris. I found this iconic bulbous of Paris very sexy and simply interesting. Take a look at the image I took during my vacation in Las Vegas. Do you have an idea how this balloon is inflated everyday. Me, neither! No matter what, I simply love this neon sign.

Great job from the Montgolfier brothers, Joseph-Michel (26 August 1740 – 26 June 1810) and Jacques-Étienne (6 January 1745 – 2 August 1799) who invented the montgolfière-style hot air balloon. Now, you know where did Paris got this idea.

a sign in the shape of the Montgolfier balloon in Paris, Las Vegas. sorry guys, this is not really a good shot. Probably in my next visit, I can already give you a better picture because I already have a better camera.

The Venetian Las Vegas

The Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, commonly called as The Venetian Las Vegas is a luxury hotel and casino resort in Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, NV, United States. It is located between Harrah's and The Palazzo. This hotel features a life-like replica tower of St Mark's Campanile in Venice, Italy.

The first hotel I visited upon my arrival in Las Vegas last May 2008. This is where I took my first dinner in Las Vegas. You see the canal inside the hotel? Like in Venice, Italy, you can have a tour in the Venetian hotel through its canal. You can also see a lot of shops inside the hotel. I felt like in Venice when I visited this luxury hotel. Anyway, I had been to Venice, Italy twice in October 2005 and April 2006.
