Cher in Colosseum Caesars Palace in Las Vegas

I saw last time some photos of my friend in Las Vegas. I ask myself, "Do I have the chance to visit Las Vegas?". I keep on dreaming about it and finally that dream came true. I spent a 2 months vacation in the US last year and stayed most of the time in Las Vegas. This photo was taken in front of Colosseum in Caesars Palace where the famous singers/ entertainers like Cher, Elton John, Celine Dion, etc. usually perform. In fact, I witnessed the concert of Elton John's Red Piano last May 2008. It was a great experience seeing famous artist performed like Elton John. I was not able to see Cher's Performance..At least I had a photo remembrance from her in front of Colosseum. Maybe next time, I can watch here live!

Shopping in Planet Hollywood

Oh yes, I was in Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. To be exact that was May 23, 2008. I had been here for a lot of times during my stay in Las Vegas. I even enjoyed walking here and of course go shopping too. I was still not looking for UGG boots that time because it was still hot summer in Las Vegas as I visited there. The hotel resembled like the buildings in Arab regions as you can see in the photo. If I am not mistaken , it is the replica of Baghdad..I am just sharing this photo for you to see. As usual, it was personally taken by me..have a great night !!
Planet Hollywood Las Vegas is a casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip. Located in Clark County, Nevada, the resort is actually a part of the municipality of Paradise, Nevada. Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide is rebranding the PH condo towers as a Sheraton Hotel and will operate the condo portion of the project. Planet Hollywood rebranded and operates the rest of the property under the Planet Hollywood brand.

Cool Show in Rio Hotel, Las Vegas

Cool in Rio Suite Hotel in Las Vegas. I was there last year and personally took this photo..love the performers here...cool singer, great dancers!! hope to see you again..I have to slowly sign-off now guys..I have to go to bed early today..I have to do a lot of things for tomorrow's small party with friends!
The Rio All Suite Hotel is located off the Las Vegas Strip in Clark County, Nevada, USA. It is better known as The Rio and is owned and operated by Harrah's Entertainment. The Rio was the first all suite casino in the Las Vegas area. It was named after the city of Rio de Janeiro, and has Brazilian culture as a main theme.

The hotel towers are covered in the signature purple and red glass. The Rio hotel's 2,563 suites range in size from 600 to 13,000 sq ft (56 to 1,210 m2) and have floor to ceiling windows.

The complex includes a wine cellar that has more than 50,000 bottles.[citation needed] The Rio Pavilion convention center has a total of 160,000 sq ft (15,000 m2) of space. A Race and Sports Book is also available.
There is a free shuttle to the Harrah's-owned Harrah's Las Vegas, and Paris/Bally's.
To counter the 2008-2009 economic downturn, Harrah's focused on marketing its properties to specific segments of the population; as a result the Rio is being marketed heavily towards Hispanics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rio_All_Suite_Hotel_and_Casino

Las Vegas Airport

It was July 5, 2008 as I left Las Vegas. The day as I left Las Vegas was a mixture of sad and happy feelings. It was a sad one because I will surely miss the happy memories and adventures that I had there and the time I spent with my dear Sister and her husband and also some relatives and new friends that I met there. It was also a happy one because I will be once again with my loving husband in Europe. I guess life is sometimes like that...a matter of come and go. At least, it was really a very nice experience spending some times in the capital entertainment of the world , Las Vegas.

This photo below was taken at Las Vegas airport as a remembrance that I was once again in this interesting city!

Las Vegas is simply a great city to shop and have fun. This photo below was taken at Galleria at Sunset in Las Vegas. It is a department store that offers a lot of shopping spree to its customer. I am not sitting here in their Outer Banks but it is simply a place to relax near the plants and flowers inside the mall. I love especially the bromeliads in my background..very beautiful!

Treasure Island Hotel in Las Vegas

I was finally in Treasure Island in Las Vegas last year. I used to see this hotel everytime I went to the strip with a friend, my sister or my cousin and her family. Keep reading below for more info about Treasure Island.

Treasure Island (also known as "ti") is a hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada, USA with 2,665 rooms and 220 suites, and is connected by tram to The Mirage as well as pedestrian bridge to the Fashion Show Mall shopping center.

TI has received the AAA Four Diamond rating each year since 1998, and is owned by MGM Mirage.
On December 15, 2008, MGM Mirage announced that the resort would be sold for $775 million to Phil Ruffin, former owner of the old New Frontier Hotel and Casino.

one of the photos I took about Treasure Island
HISTORY

Treasure Island was opened by Mirage Resorts in 1993 under the direction of Steve Wynn at a cost of $450 million. It was designed by Joel Bergman. The initial plans called for a tower addition to The Mirage, but later evolved into a full-fledged separate hotel casino resort. Treasure Island originally intended to attract families with whimsical pirate features and icons such as the skull-and-crossbones strip marquee, a large video arcade, and staged pirate battles nightly in "Buccaneer Bay" in front of the casino entrance on the Strip.

In 2003, the hotel largely abandoned its pirate theme for a more contemporary resort in efforts to focus more on adults. The original arcade and kid-friendly pool areas were replaced with an adult-friendly hot tub, contemporary nightclub and party bar. The famous skull-and-crossbones sign at the Strip entrance was replaced by one reading simply "ti" that is also a large LCD video screen. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treasure_Island_Hotel_and_Casino

Shopping in Las VEgas

If you are planning to have a vacation in Las Vegas, bring some extra money to go for shopping. As I went to Las Vegas, I told myself that I won't go shopping. I was totally wrong. You can have everything in Las Vegas as what I have been telling in this site. For me, it is one of the best place to go for shopping. I was in Fashion mall in Vegas too. In every hotel, there are also different shops. There are also a lot of shopping outlet malls over there. There are still a lot of things that I wanted to shop but I was already broke during my last days of stay there..hehehe. Anyway, one of things that are included in my shopping list are laptop, Rackmount monitor, camcorder and a lot more. I have to save some bucks because I want to buy first the laptop this month. Lastly I can say that shopping in Vegas is amazing!!

Las Vegas Strip, Simply Amazing

Looking for some fun? Las Vegas Strip is one of the best place to go. I was truly amazed by the so-called entertainment capital of the world. I was there and that was a great experience. Walking alone in the strip, watching the different colors of lights, different shows, beautiful buildings, amazing hotels, great shopping, restaurants, what else are you looking for! I am just happy to share a photo taken at Las Vegas Strip..from this photo, you will see in the background the Caesars Palace. On the right one is the Colosseum where we watched Elton John's Red Piano Concert. That was great!
The Las Vegas Strip is an approximately 4 mile (6.4 km) stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard South in Clark County, Nevada, United States. A small portion of The Strip lies in Las Vegas, but most of it is in the unincorporated areas of Paradise and Winchester. Most of "The Strip" has been designated an All-American Road.

Many of the largest hotel, casino and resort properties in the world are located on the world famous Las Vegas Strip. Eighteen of the world's twenty five largest hotels by room count are on the Strip, with a total of over 67,000 rooms.

Several decades ago, Las Vegas Boulevard South was called Arrowhead Highway, or Los Angeles Highway. The Strip was reportedly named by Los Angeles police officer Guy McAfee, after his hometown's Sunset Strip.

One of the most visible aspects of Las Vegas' cityscape is its use of dramatic themes. The theming of hotels, casinos, and restaurants on the Strip has established the city as one of the most popular destinations for tourists. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Las_Vegas_Strip

More Americans say they have no religion

Would you believe that Religion can contribute to the success of a nation? Or people in a country with no religion will continue to improve without it? Is it the reason why America have a great recession and economic downfall at the moment? read this article for more infos..

"A wide-ranging study on American religious life found that the Roman Catholic population has been shifting out o of the Northeast to the Southwest, the percentage of Christians in the nation has declined and more people say they have no religion at all.

Fifteen percent of respondents said they had no religion, an increase from 14.2 percent in 2001 and 8.2 percent in 1990, according to the American Religious Identification Survey.

Northern New England surpassed the Pacific Northwest as the least religious region, with Vermont reporting the highest share of those claiming no religion, at 34 percent. Still, the study found that the numbers of Americans with no religion rose in every state.

"No other religious bloc has kept such a pace in every state," the study's authors said."
